1. Here’s “Teddy,” the first track from the Lewis Nash Quintet’s new album, “The Highest Mountain.” A seasoned lineup including Peter Washington on bass. This is nice music: cool and refined, but also passionate. An enjoyable album.

    Pre-teen prodigy drummer, the son of Vlad Girshevik, the piano player. This is gorgeous jazz, with just piano, bass, and drums.

    Born in the Republic of Cameroon, Aime Roger Ribouem launched his musical career playing night clubs in the 80s. His jazz is influenced by the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Smith, Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker.
